Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that you remain an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to foster a therapeutic environment that promotes long-term recovery for our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments to determine the counseling needs of each client, focusing on their unique circumstances and challenges.
\n
• Utilize DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to assess clients for substance abuse diagnoses and ascertain the appropriate level of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, particularly addressing the substance abuse counseling portion to facilitate effective recovery strategies.
\n
• Create thorough discharge and continuum of care plans that guide client transitions to appropriate levels of care post-treatment.
\n
• Document all counseling sessions, assessments, referrals, and follow-up activities meticulously in each client’s clinical record to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
\n
• Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring all case management tasks, including utilization review updates, are fulfilled in a timely manner.
\n
• Coordinate support services for clients and their families, maintaining accurate records of services delivered in clinical documentation.
\n
• Actively engage with referral sources including legal entities, schools, and employers to facilitate comprehensive care.
\n
• Lead and participate in crisis-intervention strategies utilizing a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to address immediate client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily face challenges related to co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This population often requires specialized approaches to therapy that account for the complexities of dual diagnoses. You will provide therapy to individual clients and lead family or group therapy sessions, encouraging a supportive community within our patient cohort.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is necessary; advanced degrees are preferred.
