Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patients’ health needs, identifying both acute and chronic issues efficiently.
• Diagnose health conditions through evidence-based practices, utilizing diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and physical assessments.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, outlining necessary interventions and follow-ups.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established guidelines, monitoring patient responses to therapy.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and follow-up plans comprehensively, utilizing ICD-9 coding accurately for billing and record-keeping.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in patient education, empowering individuals with knowledge on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of ongoing health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an urgent care Nurse Practitioner, you will cater to a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and seniors who present with a wide variety of health concerns. Your expertise in managing both common and complex health conditions will be invaluable in delivering timely and appropriate medical care to our community.

Qualifications

• A recognized and active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• A master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience in a related field, preferably in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records systems, with Cerner experience being a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with a broad range of medical scenarios, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and memory care.
• Ability to perform specific procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments and other minor interventions.
• Strong knowledge of current medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 150,000 and 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes:
