Healing Hearts Counseling is seeking dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapists to join our team as full-time practitioners. This role will be instrumental in providing remote mental health services specifically tailored for a school setting. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work collaboratively with students, their families, and educational staff to foster a positive mental health environment and support students' emotional and psychological well-being.

Work Environment\n

This position allows therapists to work remotely while engaging with students in a virtual school environment. The flexibility of remote work is balanced with the need for effective collaboration with school personnel and families to ensure seamless care delivery. You will operate within structured hours, typically from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but must be adaptable to meet the varying needs of students and their families.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that accurately identify students' emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Engage students in one-on-one therapy sessions, as well as facilitate group therapy and psychoeducational support groups that promote discussion and problem-solving.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services to students experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate students and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to promote understanding and ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in alignment with legal and ethical mandates.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance service delivery and share best practices.

• Continuously update your knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. This role demands the ability to relate to a younger demographic while also engaging with their families and school staff. You will work to create a supportive therapeutic atmosphere that encourages openness and trust, allowing students to express their thoughts and feel heard.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience in conducting thorough mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans tailored to diverse populations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students, families, and educational staff effectively.

• A commitment to ethical practice and professional boundaries, demonstrating sound judgment in clinical scenarios.

• Proficiency in working with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting purposes.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in mental health settings, particularly in schools or with young adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n
