We prioritize work-life balance, operating during standard business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Century Road Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of client mental health statuses, focusing on the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances, needs, and therapeutic goals.

• Implementing evidence-based treatment methodologies for mood disorders, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Providing educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment strategies, and self-care practices.

• Monitoring and recording client progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as warranted.

• Working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and holistic support to clients.

• Staying informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintaining detailed, accurate, and confidential records of each client’s session, assessments, and treatment strategies in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to refine clinical skills and best practices.

• Advocating for clients by promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will primarily consist of individuals facing mood disorders, including various forms of depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This role requires a holistic understanding of the unique challenges these individuals face and a dedication to creating a trusting therapeutic alliance where clients feel heard and empowered.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) to practice in Virginia.
\n
• Proficient in evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, especially CBT and DBT.
\n
• A strong foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• A proven track record of achieving successful therapeutic outcomes with clients affected by mood disorders.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a telehealth capacity or in diverse outpatient settings. Familiarity with various DSM-5 diagnoses, quality improvement processes, and advocacy for mental health issues will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and eligible dependents.
