Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations where you will review medical history, perform assessments, and document your findings accurately.
• Collaborate with patients and families to explain evaluation results and jointly set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement customized treatment protocols based on each patient's unique presentation and needs, using evidence-based practice.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, consulting with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Monitor and document progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care to optimize patient recovery.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of treatment sessions, encounter notes, and discharge evaluations.
• Manage your schedule efficiently, ensuring punctuality and participation in necessary meetings and community outreach activities.
• Get involved in the overall departmental objectives and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry trends and enhance your expertise.
• Act as a clinical instructor for students, mentoring them through their practical training experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients of various age groups, tailoring interventions to their specific recovery needs while promoting autonomy and informed decision-making throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license is required to practice in Florida.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, although new graduates will also be considered for their passion and commitment to patient care.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
