Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Lakeland, Florida, our clinic spans 5,000 square feet, providing an expansive area for patient treatment and rehabilitation services. Our team consists of highly qualified professionals, including two physical therapists and one licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA), ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care. We offer on-site treatment, which allows us to deliver personalized care in a welcoming and supportive setting, ideally suited for both professional development and patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and enhancing overall function.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Inspire and motivate patients by fostering a supportive environment during therapy sessions, ensuring that they are engaged in their recovery process.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on clinical judgment and patient feedback.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create comprehensive care strategies for our patients.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with clinic policies, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and methods to enhance their recovery.
• Manage a caseload with a patient turnover of 2-3 patients per hour, providing each with high-quality, individualized care.
• Promote non-surgical treatment options to address patients' needs, reducing reliance on medications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at our clinic, you will work primarily with outpatient clients, focusing on sports rehabilitation and orthopedic cases. Our aim is to provide high-quality care that not only addresses the physical aspects of recovery but also uplifts the patients' spirits and motivates them to achieve their personal therapy goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida, with no disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills are essential for providing hands-on patient care.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, is required for accurate and efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
• Proven experience in developing patient-centered care plans that successfully maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Experience working with athletes or active individuals is a plus, enhancing the understanding of sports-related injuries.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
