Work Environment

Located in the heart of Lakeland, our facility provides a welcoming and motivating environment tailored for recovery and rehabilitation. You will be working in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic equipped with the latest technology and resources to assist patients effectively. As part of a cohesive team comprising two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will be well-supported in your daily activities, allowing you to focus on delivering the best outcomes for your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and Address Patient Needs: Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients to identify their specific goals and requirements, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to the individual.
• Manage Patient Caseload: Effectively handle a caseload with a maximum of one patient per hour to provide focused, quality care. Develop treatment schedules and adhere to them in a timely manner.
• Deliver Evidence-Based Interventions: Implement targeted treatment modalities and therapeutic exercises that have demonstrated effectiveness through research and clinical practice, enhancing patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Enhance Patient Outcomes: Reduce reliance on medications by providing safe, effective therapeutic alternatives and guiding patients through rehabilitation pathways that may help avoid surgical interventions.
• Create Comprehensive Treatment Plans: Develop individualized care plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and specific exercise protocols tailored to each patient's abilities and needs.
• Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes, accurately documenting patient progress and maintaining clear lines of communication with staff and patients.
• Foster Patient Motivation: Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment process, helping them stay committed to their wellness journeys and overall health improvements.
• Promote Health & Wellness: Design fitness and wellness programs that incorporate strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination activities aimed at instilling long-term healthy habits in patients.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with other healthcare providers to create an interdisciplinary approach that enhances patient care and ensures all aspects of health are addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be helping patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, arthritis, and general mobility challenges. With a patient-centered approach, you will work diligently to address their unique needs, ensuring their experience with our facility is both supportive and productive.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• An unblemished professional record free from any disciplinary actions by licensing boards.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional skills in crafting and implementing effective exercise protocols.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, with a solid understanding of various rehabilitation techniques.
• Hands-on experience in personalized patient care that results in measurable improvements in mobility and health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for continuing education.
