Experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our orthopedic outpatient practice situated in Lakeland, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center in Lakeland, Florida, a community known for its scenic lakes and recreational opportunities. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in a collaborative environment with two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, fostering teamwork and support in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' goals, needs, and limitations, designing comprehensive care plans tailored to their specific conditions.
• Manage a patient load of 2 to 3 patients per hour, providing efficient and effective treatment interventions.
• Utilize various treatment modalities and techniques, including manual therapy and exercise programs, to enhance patients' mobility and function.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that aim to reduce pain, improve movement, and decrease reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting care plans as necessary and documenting care in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, specifically WebPT.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, keeping open lines of communication to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate and motivate patients about their treatment plans and lifestyle changes that contribute to long-term health.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services, assessments, and progress for compliance and billing purposes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Your role will focus on working one-on-one with patients, guiding them towards their health goals by promoting functional independence and an improved sense of well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Florida Physical Therapist license without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficient manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills.
• Experience working within an orthopedic outpatient setting is essential.
• Familiarity with EMR Software, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation processes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic environment.
• Established background in developing fitness and wellness programs tailored to patients' unique needs and conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
