Work Environment

Located in Lakeland, Florida, this role is based onsite at a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. The standard work schedule runs Monday to Friday, encompassing 40 hours per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations to assess movement dysfunction and rehabilitation needs, integrating patient history and clinical findings.
• Developing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's condition as referred by physicians.
• Delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions, applying techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
• Documenting patient progress, outcomes, and treatment changes in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Enhancing patient education by providing resources and training to patients and their caregivers, enabling them to adhere to their recovery plans.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment decisions.
• Achieving minimum utilization goals and contributing to overall clinic objectives, enhancing both patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating a diverse patient population, including:

• Individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Pediatric patients requiring specialized rehabilitative services.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE).
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy issued by Florida.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills, enabling efficient documentation and patient records management.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Previous clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.

Compensation and Benefits
