Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Hackensack, New Jersey. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and resources that support a comprehensive approach to orthopedic therapy. As part of a small, cohesive team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will enjoy a supportive atmosphere where patient-centered care is the top priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to understand their individual needs and therapeutic goals.
• Design and implement tailored rehabilitation programs that integrate evidence-based techniques and continually assess their efficacy.
• Manage a patient caseload, seeing one individual per hour, allowing for focused and individualized care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to enhance patients' range of motion and strength.
• Advise patients on lifestyle modifications to reduce dependence on medications and avoid unnecessary surgical interventions.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in accordance with compliance standards, ensuring clarity and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to holistically approach patients' rehabilitation needs.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their journey to improve their outcomes and encourage adherence to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal health. We work with a diverse clientele, from athletes requiring rehab post-injury to older adults needing assistance with mobility and strength. Your expertise will drastically impact their recovery journey, guiding them to regain independence and improve their daily function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist is essential.
• Evidence of a solid professional history with no disciplinary actions or complaints against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience with exercise protocol development.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize patient workloads within a busy clinic environment.
• Experience in creating fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs and rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
