Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting cases meticulously from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging active participation and open dialogue to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a network of mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention plans that address all aspects of a client's health.

• Act as a liaison for clients requiring hospitalization, following up with psychiatrists and attending physicians to ensure seamless continuity of care.

• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, utilizing proactive strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing behavioral health challenges present in their loved ones, fostering a collaborative treatment approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients grappling with various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and addiction. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating your capability to manage diverse client caseloads effectively.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health records systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation.

• Familiarity with the best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, enabling informed discussions with clients and other healthcare professionals.
