Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans that will promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Utilize various treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, hands-on techniques, and specialized equipment to help alleviate pain and improve physical function.
• Document treatment plans, patient responses, and progress in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards to ensure continuity of care.
• Adapt treatment methods and re-evaluate patient goals regularly to respond to patient progress and changing needs.
• Provide training and guidance to patients, caregivers, and family members to enhance understanding of treatment protocols and assistive device usage.
• Engage in continuous professional development through attending workshops, obtaining continuing education credits, and staying current with the latest research in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.

• Proficiency in word processing and electronic medical record systems.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to patient care, demonstrating flexibility in treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with a diverse patient demographic and in a variety of treatment settings.
• Previous mentorship experience or the willingness to guide newly graduated therapists would be advantageous.
