Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' psychosocial needs, identifying appropriate treatment and referral options tailored to their unique situations.

• Deliver short-term counseling services and crisis intervention to patients, ensuring timely support during critical moments.

• Assist patients in navigating the complexities of entitlement forms and benefit applications, promoting self-sufficiency and reducing reliance on emergency assistance programs.

• Advocate for patients in interactions with community agencies, enhancing access to necessary resources and services.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient documentation, including reports and case notes that comply with regulatory standards.

• Facilitate transportation assistance for patients as needed to ensure their attendance at appointments and access to services.

• Engage actively in clinical team meetings, sharing insights and strategies during case conferences to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our mental health counselors primarily serve diverse populations within the Brookhaven community, addressing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Understanding the multifaceted nature of mental health, you will work with individuals from varied backgrounds, showcasing cultural sensitivity and tailored treatment approaches to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Possession of an independent license: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in community health settings and familiarity with resource navigation for low-income or marginalized populations will be advantageous. Experience in crisis management and trauma-informed care practices is highly desirable, as you will encounter diverse mental health challenges while working with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
