Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Telehealth Specialist

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering a flexible work setting that allows counselors to provide care without the constraints of a traditional office environment. Utilizing telehealth technology, you’ll engage with clients through secure video conferencing platforms that comply with HIPAA regulations, ensuring a safe and confidential space for therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake assessments to determine clients' mental health statuses, needs, and treatment goals.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized therapy plans that utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to their specific situations.
• Provide regular follow-up sessions to monitor progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
• Utilize an integrated approach in therapy by connecting clients with additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and support groups, when appropriate.
• Document all client interactions and treatment updates meticulously within our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
• Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest research and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of clients, each presenting unique challenges and needs. Your caseload may include individuals dealing with various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. By employing culturally responsive and inclusive therapeutic methods, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve meaningful life changes.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado.
• Minimum of four years of experience in a mental health counseling setting, demonstrating significant clinical expertise.
• Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and a solid foundation in evidence-based treatment methods.
• Proficient crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, fostering strong rapport with a broad spectrum of individuals.
• Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to streamline client care and documentation.
• An unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy sessions, emphasizing diversity and cultural competence.

Compensation and Benefits
