Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ histories with substance abuse and related mental health conditions.
• Collaboratively develop and implement personalized treatment plans, addressing both addiction and underlying mental health issues, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to promote recovery and enhance clients’ coping strategies.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists, to integrate care and improve client outcomes.
• Educate and involve clients’ family members in the treatment process, providing them with the tools and knowledge to support their loved ones’ recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with health regulations and agency policies, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document progress and treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse array of clients struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. You will support individuals at various stages of their recovery, guiding them from the initial stages of acknowledgment through to sustained recovery. Understanding the unique challenges faced by this group—from trauma to social stigma—is essential for fostering trust and promoting successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD is required.
• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Specialized training or demonstrated experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Understanding of evidence-based practices specific to substance abuse and dual diagnosis.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate clients towards recovery.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a substance abuse treatment setting, particularly in a telehealth capacity.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
