Position Overview

Mind Ease Advocate Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility to work from home while providing critical support to clients through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Ideal candidates will hold one of the following licenses: LICSW, LMFT, or LPC, and will play a key role in fostering mental wellness in diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments that evaluate clients' mental health conditions and needs, identifying key issues and formulating insights for effective treatment.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring they align with clients' unique goals.
• Provide a mix of teletherapy and, when necessary, in-person sessions to individuals, couples, families, or groups tailored to meet specific client needs.
• Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to promote mental well-being and enhance community engagement.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress while adhering to ethical and professional standards.
• Continually evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust therapeutic approaches based on client feedback and outcome measures.
• Participate in supervision and professional development activities to refine skills and stay informed about the latest trends in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors provide support across a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and chronic illness. A significant focus of our work is helping patients navigate the psychosocial aspects associated with cancer, including the emotional and mental hurdles faced during treatment. Counselors utilize a strengths-based approach to empower clients and their families, providing them with the tools and strategies needed to enhance coping mechanisms and foster resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified through a third-party background check.
• Ability to work legally in the United States.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in virtual therapy settings, demonstrating proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.
• Background in working with clients who have chronic health conditions, particularly cancer-related challenges.
• Familiarity with community health resources and readiness to provide client referrals to support services.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000 , based on the caseload and individual qualifications.
