Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor at Calm Vitality, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for clients to understand their emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on client progress and ongoing evaluation.

• Provide therapeutic sessions using evidence-based methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other suitable techniques.

• Offer ongoing support and coaching to clients, equipping them with coping strategies and practical tools to manage their mental health challenges.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care and refer clients when specialized interventions are needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on a diverse client base dealing with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, trauma-related disorders, and eating disorders. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, emphasizing cultural competence to effectively address their unique experiences and needs in therapy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington State.

• At least two years of direct clinical experience providing individual and group therapy.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience with teletherapy and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
