Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of presenting dermatological concerns, including reviewing patient medical histories and conducting skin examinations.
• Formulate accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique circumstances.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as permitted by your training and licensure, following established protocols.
• Provide high-quality support to the medical staff and respond to inquiries regarding patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up processes.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills in both verbal interactions and electronic communications, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality in all dealings.
• Identify personal learning needs and actively engage in professional development through continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Dermatology Physician Assistant will predominantly care for a diverse range of patients dealing with various skin conditions. These can include acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and more. Our patient population values a hands-on approach, and our PAs are encouraged to work closely with patients to educate them on their conditions and treatment options. Understanding and addressing patient concerns directly impacts both satisfaction scores and treatment outcomes, which are central to our practice goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and successful completion of a Physician Assistant program.
• A minimum of two years of dermatology experience is mandatory.
• Proficient in evaluating patient health concerns and articulating treatment goals effectively.
• A proven ability to work autonomously while also collaborating seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
