Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center located in Richmond, Virginia. Our facility is well-equipped with state-of-the-art therapy tools and resources designed to optimize patient care. You will work alongside a team of three experienced physical therapists and several physical therapy assistants (PTAs), promoting a collaborative work culture that values both professional development and team synergy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and rehabilitation goals, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and pain management techniques.
• Utilize modern modalities such as electrical stimulation, hot packs, and therapeutic exercises on treadmills or recumbent bikes to enhance patient care/enhance recovery conditions.
• Deliver one-on-one patient therapy sessions, typically managing a caseload of 7-8 patients per day.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring clear communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Encourage patients to engage actively in their rehabilitation journey to enhance their recovery, mobility, and overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement comprehensive care strategies for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The rehabilitation center primarily focuses on treating individuals recovering from sports-related injuries and orthopedic surgeries, including athletes and former athletes. The patient population includes individuals dealing with knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, and other musculoskeletal issues. Your role will be crucial in helping these patients regain strength and function, emphasizing evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Hold a current Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Have at least one year of relevant experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting.
• Demonstrate strong clinical and assessment skills, with the ability to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective dialogue with patients and team members.
• Have proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with experience in sports rehabilitation or orthopedic outpatient practices will have a distinct advantage. Familiarity with exercise design and manual therapy techniques is desirable, as is a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, contingent upon experience and qualifications. We offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
