Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions or group sessions remotely, addressing various emotional and behavioral issues for children and their families.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices, focusing on improving coping mechanisms, anger management, and social skills among youth.

• Develop personalized treatment plans to address specific needs, including strategies to mitigate high-risk behavior such as self-injury or aggression.

• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic support for children and families.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, compliant with organizational standards.

• Participate actively in monthly meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and contribute to team recommendations for client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support a diverse population of children aged 3-20 who are experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work directly with both the youth and their primary caregivers, assisting them in navigating the complexities of behavioral challenges and fostering a supportive home environment. Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility being a significant asset.

• A clean criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to hiring.

Compensation and Benefits\n
