Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct meticulous mental health evaluations during initial consultations, documenting cases meticulously through all stages of treatment.

• Develop and implement effective intervention and recovery plans customized for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on comprehensive assessments.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in groups, fostering a supportive environment for healing and personal growth.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress within the treatment framework, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, doctors, and nurses, to co-create and refine client intervention strategies.

• Manage follow-up communications with psychiatrists for clients requiring medication management or hospitalization, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Identify and proactively address behaviors that may impede client recovery, employing strategies to guide clients and their families in navigating mental health challenges.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing them with guidance and education about managing mental and behavioral health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve include individuals suffering from a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will be pivotal in creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward healing. Additionally, your role involves addressing the unique needs of multiple family structures as you engage in family therapy sessions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document and manage patient information.
\n
• Solid understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health disorders, including the interplay of physical health conditions and addiction issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, providing individual and group therapy.

• Familiarity with current best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the socio-cultural factors that may impact mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
