You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and case managers, fostering collaboration and improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment based on detailed assessments to prevent disability and relieve pain, while enhancing muscle function and maximizing patient performance.
• Evaluate clients using diagnostic tests to determine their level of function related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Develop and oversee personalized care plans, collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure proper implementation of therapeutic techniques.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, instructing clients in both manual and non-manual exercises, enabling them to engage in functional activities effectively.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring correct modifications and recommendations are made to the respective physician.
• Document clinical progress through detailed records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and adapt care plans as necessary, effectively communicating with physicians and other team members about any changes in a client's condition.
• Educate clients and families on physical therapy practices and equipment, promoting self-management and independence throughout the recovery process.
• Actively contribute to maintaining an organized, safe, and welcoming environment in the physical therapy space.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population encompasses a diverse range of individuals requiring various levels of rehabilitation and therapeutic services. Clients may include those recovering from surgery, athletes rehabilitating from injuries, and seniors focusing on mobility and balance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• CPR certification and in good standing across all required practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills, contributing to effective communication and rapport-building with clients and team members.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and high ethical standards in treatment delivery.

Preferred Experience

Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home healthcare environment. A solid understanding of regulatory standards in rehabilitation settings will be beneficial in ensuring compliance and optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

Periscope Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, along with a robust benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance.
