Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices.
• Perform detailed physical examinations and order diagnostic tests to accurately evaluate patient conditions.
• Administer a variety of injections, including trigger point and joint injections, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prescribe medications and design pain management regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document patient progress meticulously and review treatment plans regularly to optimize outcomes.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families, empowering them with understanding of pain management techniques and overall health maintenance.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records using an electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss evolving patient care strategies and outcomes.
• Monitor patients' health and well-being, educating them about their health conditions and medications prescribed.
• Remain current with advancements in pain management, integrating new research and effective practices into daily work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, catering to a diverse demographic, including individuals with musculoskeletal issues, neurological pain syndromes, and post-surgical recovery challenges. This role allows you to form meaningful patient relationships, providing care that enhances their understanding of pain management while promoting their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license and PA-C designation are necessary.
• A DEA and NPI number is essential for prescribing medications.
• Exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team framework.
• A strong commitment to patient advocacy and continuing education is crucial.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical environment, hospital setting, or emergency room is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in pain management or related fields, such as internal medicine or urgent care, is preferred.
• Familiarity with health regulations and patient care protocols is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. VitalEdge PA also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, along with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to attract top talent to our team.
