This position is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients through our user-friendly telehealth platform. Function First Therapy Center employs advanced technological tools to facilitate seamless therapy sessions, enabling you to engage with clients effectively from your home environment. You will be provided with training on our electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to streamline client documentation and health monitoring.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to create tailored treatment plans.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and methodologies to support diverse client needs.
\n
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, including regular progress assessments.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other specialists, to ensure holistic care for clients.
\n
• Document all case details meticulously from initial consultation through treatment completion, ensuring accurate records for continuity of care.
\n
• Conduct follow-up consultations with clients and support families and primary caregivers in managing behavioral challenges.
\n
• Identify risk factors or behaviors that may impede recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Function First Therapy Center serves a diverse client base, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction disorders, and other mental health challenges. As a mental health counselor, you will engage with clients across various demographics, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Completion of national competency exams, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE, with passing scores.
\n
• A genuine passion for mental health counseling backed by at least two years of relevant experience.
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective case management.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, and the interplay of addiction disorders in mental health treatment.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a strong sense of empathy and interpersonal skills.
