Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes and ensuring maximum function.
• Conduct thorough assessments, including diagnostic evaluations of muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities, to determine the most effective interventions.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment plans while ensuring compliance with the therapeutic protocols.
• Evaluate the patient's home environment and provide recommendations to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and foster independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and additional treatments as prescribed, adapting methods to meet patient needs effectively.
• Manage and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, consulting with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document all treatment sessions accurately and contribute to updating care plans as required.
• Engage actively in case conferences with interdisciplinary team members to discuss progress and any modifications needed in patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding their therapy programs and equipment usage to promote engagement and self-management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient demographic ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation cases to chronic pain management and mobility enhancement. Our patients vary in age and physical capabilities, allowing you to engage with a wide spectrum of therapeutic needs and learn from each case.

Qualifications

• Current and active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting, preferably outpatient or home care.
• Proficient in applying manual therapy techniques and modern therapeutic practices.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation and patient management.
• Engagement in continuing education courses related to the latest approaches in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
