Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, preferences, and rehabilitation goals to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Administer specialized therapy techniques to help restore mobility, enhance strength, and improve overall function.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that integrate various therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to promote recovery and educate patients on effective self-management strategies.
• Provide direct care and support to patients while maintaining a manageable patient caseload to ensure high levels of attention and quality service.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to address pain and facilitate movement.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary to maximize outcomes.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records within our EMR system, specifically using Web PT for efficient patient management.
• Foster open communication with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care continuity and share insights on patient advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse outpatient population comprising individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our focus is on providing effective rehabilitation to clients of all ages, emphasizing non-surgical methods to alleviate pain while enhancing functional abilities. You will work closely with patients to motivate them through their recovery journey, helping them to achieve personal wellness goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• An active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of disciplinary actions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrable proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise prescription.
• Ability to effectively navigate EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for diligent record-keeping and patient documentation.
• Strong focus on continued professional development and familiarity with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A proven track record of developing and executing successful treatment plans leading to improved patient outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and building rapport with patients.

Compensation and Benefits
