Key Responsibilities\n

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Establishing a positive and trusting rapport with patients through effective communication and empathy.

• Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop targeted treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, consistently adapting techniques and approaches based on patient progress and feedback.

• Regularly meeting with patients to monitor progress, modify treatment plans, and provide necessary adjustments to therapeutic interventions.

• Performing crisis interventions as needed, including immediate assessments and support for patients experiencing acute emotional distress.

• Effectively documenting all interactions, treatment plans, and patient progress in our electronic medical records system to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of individuals seeking mental health support, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds. We address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and more. Our counselors are equipped to provide culturally competent care that acknowledges and respects the diverse identities and experiences of our patients.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• A valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic practices.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower clients through therapeutic engagement.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirements focus on education and licensure, candidates with additional experience in specialized areas (e.g., trauma-informed care, evidence-based group therapies) will be given favorable consideration. Knowledge of integration of behavioral health with physical health will also be advantageous to effectively address our clients’ holistic needs.
