Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Group Therapy Facilitation: You will design and lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster connection, mutual support, and shared experiences among clients.

  • Individual Counseling: Deliver personalized therapy sessions that empower clients to explore their inner thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while developing effective coping strategies and action plans tailored to their unique circumstances.

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to create and implement individualized and goal-driven treatment plans, ensuring they align with each client’s specific needs and aspirations.

  • Progress Evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress using varied assessment tools and feedback mechanisms, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care, ensure effective communication, and consult on complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving young adults aged 18 to 30 in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This demographic often faces a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. Your role will be crucial in guiding them through their recovery journeys and helping them navigate life transitions.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

  • Valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) licensure in the state of Illinois is required.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches applicable to young adults.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Previous experience working with young adults in a mental health or outpatient setting.

  • Familiarity with group therapy techniques and treatment planning.

  • Experience with evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing.
