Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist

Position Overview

Functional Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Physical Therapist to take on an important role in our Orthopedic Outpatient Office located in the scenic community of Saratoga, California. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tailored rehabilitation plans that focus on restoring movement, improving mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing the overall physical function of our patients. Your expertise will play a critical role in guiding individuals through their recovery journey, ensuring they regain their strength and independence.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our Saratoga location, you will be working onsite in our dedicated outpatient office, collaborating closely with a skilled team of healthcare professionals. Our clinic promotes a positive and encouraging atmosphere, where each staff member contributes to enhancing patient experiences and outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized assessments for each patient to create personalized treatment plans focused on their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize advanced techniques and evidence-based practices to facilitate rehabilitation, optimize mobility, and minimize discomfort, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making real-time adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, and ensuring that continuing assessment aligns with rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records utilizing WebPT, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for ongoing management to empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from various orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. You will work closely with patients of all ages, providing specialized care that caters to their unique circumstances. Your ability to connect with patients and motivate them through their recovery will be key to their successful rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current or eligible California Physical Therapist license is essential for practice.
• Demonstrated clinical reasoning abilities, alongside a hands-on approach to rehabilitation, are critical for success in this role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate patients throughout their recovery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
• Prior experience working with orthopedic patients, including post-operative and sports rehabilitation, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
