Stedman Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our full-time team in Trenton, New Jersey. This role is critical in providing high-quality therapy services targeted towards our geriatric clientele. Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing you to work directly with patients in their homes or in assisted living environments. You will have a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals and medical needs.
• Administer a variety of therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercise regimens, manual therapy, and modalities tailored to geriatric patients.
• Closely monitor and document patient progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational and speech therapists, to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, effective home exercise programs, and preventative strategies to minimize injury risk.
• Implement safety measures and fall prevention protocols to create safer living environments for geriatric patients in assisted living communities.
• Engage in continuous learning by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and participating in professional development opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality while providing the highest level of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the elderly population, helping them navigate the challenges associated with aging. This role requires sensitivity, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of your patients, most of whom are navigating mobility issues, recovery from injuries, or managing chronic conditions. You will play an instrumental role in fostering a supportive environment where patients feel valued and understood.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation software.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy, with a readiness to implement the latest therapeutic techniques.
• Commitment to patient-centered care that enhances independence and enriches the quality of life for elderly patients.
• Ability to work independently, while also contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with geriatric patients is preferred, although we encourage new graduates with a passion for geriatric therapy to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
