Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our expansive 5,000 square feet rehabilitation facility, which features modern equipment and facilities designed to enhance the therapeutic experience. You will be collaborating closely with a supportive team, including two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our conducive and innovative work environment aims to inspire both staff and patients toward achieving their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze individual patient needs to develop tailored treatment plans that maximize mobility and functional independence.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, seeing one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated time for thorough evaluations and treatment.
• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, incorporating evidence-based practices to improve patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall health.
• Motivate and educate patients through personalized fitness and wellness programs, tracking their progress and adapting plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Document patient interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes meticulously to maintain comprehensive records that support optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure integrated patient care and successful rehabilitation outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for patients to minimize reliance on medications and suggest alternative therapies to avoid unnecessary surgeries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves patients with orthopedic concerns, many of whom are covered by private medical insurance. The physical therapist will interact with a diverse clientele ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to elderly patients regaining mobility after surgery. Each case presents unique challenges, and the therapist's expertise will be key in optimizing treatment efficacy for improved patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with a clean record and no disciplinary actions.
• Robust understanding and hands-on experience in manual therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in implementing exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and cooperate with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
