Position Overview

Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for our orthopedic outpatient practice located in Trenton, New Jersey. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will be part of a close-knit team that includes two other physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices. You will be performing all duties onsite, allowing for direct patient interactions and immediate feedback on treatment efficacy. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and fulfill the specific needs and goals of patients in a healthcare setting.
• Effectively manage a caseload targeted at one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives personalized and focused attention.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop comprehensive treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, and modalities aimed at enhancing patient mobility.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies to minimize reliance on medications and offer alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Monitor and document patient progress through evaluations and consistent communication, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Encourage patient engagement by motivating them to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey, fostering a sense of autonomy and confidence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to design and implement integrated care plans that prioritize patient well-being.
• Promote health education, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of services and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, emphasizing rehabilitation tailored to their unique circumstances. This will include individuals seeking recovery from sports-related injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain management. The practice thrives on fostering relationships with patients that lead to trust and open communication, contributing to their overall success in regaining mobility and achieving personal goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures related to licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and an understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• Experience in developing effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly platforms like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting, where you developed a thorough understanding of patient-centered care.
• Experience in training and engaging patients in their rehabilitation processes, with a focus on motivational techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
