Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Facility

Empower-Self Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our advanced rehabilitation facility located in Trenton, New Jersey. In this critical role, you will serve as a vital partner in our patients' journeys to restoring their mobility and achieving peak functionality. Your primary focus will be on promoting the highest quality of life through comprehensive care in areas such as prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

Our facility is a dynamic rehabilitation environment where you will collaborate with a small, dedicated team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work setting is primarily onsite, providing you the opportunity to engage with patients in person and contribute directly to their recovery journey. The regular work schedule consists of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and set personalized goals for patients, ensuring their specific needs and requirements are aptly addressed.
• Manage a diverse caseload of patients, typically allocating one hour per individual to facilitate thorough and focused treatment sessions.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings, delivering specialized care that aids patient recovery.
• Implement cost-effective and evidence-based treatments that significantly enhance patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Advocate for non-pharmaceutical interventions by reducing dependence on pain medications and exploring alternative therapies to surgical options.
• Develop thorough and comprehensive care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
• Create and design personalized fitness and wellness programs, empowering patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment process, supporting their journey toward optimal functioning.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by emphasizing the importance of strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patient progress, and maintain clear and effective communication with both patients and colleagues.
• Document patient care services comprehensively, ensuring accurate records are kept for future reference and coordination.

Our facility primarily serves patients with private medical insurance who are in need of orthopedic rehabilitation. This population includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, workplace accidents, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey must be maintained.
• You should have a pristine professional record, free from any disciplinary actions or board sanctions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating a strong understanding of diverse treatment methodologies.
• An exceptional ability to develop and implement customized exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, preferably WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Experience working specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, as it equips you with the necessary skills to handle the unique challenges that arise in this environment. Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your overall well-being.
