Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations to identify functional limitations and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions while consistently monitoring and adjusting treatment modalities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, including evaluations, treatment strategies, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and professional standards.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers—physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff—to share insights on patient care and the continuum of care.
• Engaging with patients and their families to educate them on rehabilitation plans, empowering them with the knowledge necessary for recovery.
• Participate in continuity improvement initiatives and community outreach programs aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, including PTA students, to promote a cohesive team environment focused on high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
