Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality, relieving pain, and preventing disability in orthopedic patients.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the application of physical agents to enhance patient recovery.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the quality and consistency of care delivery aligns with each patient's plan of care.
• Monitor patient progress by observing and documenting changes in conditions in accordance with established clinical protocols, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
• Engage with patients to educate and motivate them on their rehabilitation programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to review and enhance comprehensive care plans that facilitate effective rehabilitation.
• Participate actively in case conferences, offering insights and recommendations to ensure continuity of care across different specialties.
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation which includes initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring they meet regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgical procedures to individuals engaging in rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries. Our patient population varies, requiring a robust understanding of orthopedic conditions and an ability to implement diverse therapeutic approaches to cater to different recovery needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A current Physical Therapist license in good standing for the state of New Jersey.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license with car insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
