Care Point Physical Therapy is actively seeking a motivated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our rehabilitation facility located in Princeton, New Jersey. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work in an onsite rehabilitation facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients experiencing orthopedic conditions, focused on pain relief, restoration of function, and enhancement of physical performance.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess patient's musculoskeletal capability, functional abilities and overall condition to tailor specific treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants, ensuring that therapeutic interventions align with the overall plan of care set forth in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Engage patients in therapeutic exercises, instructional activities, and functional tasks while providing motivation and education about their rehabilitation journey.
• Perform manual techniques, including traction, massage, and the application of physical agents to promote recovery.
• Assess patient habitats and environments to make necessary recommendations that enhance functional independence and safety at home.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and care plans to ensure effective communication within the interdisciplinary team.
• Actively participate in case conferences, contributing insights and recommendations for each patient's holistic treatment approach.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and the use of physical therapy devices.
• Stay updated with the latest orthopedic rehabilitation practices, integrating new techniques and innovations into therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The ideal Physical Therapist will develop rapport and trust with a diverse patient population, ensuring a tailored approach that respects individual goals and challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, either in acute care or home care settings.
• Active and valid PT licensure (in good standing) in the state of New Jersey.
• Certification in CPR and other relevant emergency care protocols.
• Possess a valid driver's license and automobile insurance to ensure travel to patient locations if necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility or outpatient clinic setting, preferably with orthopedic specialization.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate and document patient information effectively.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary team projects or patient outcome initiatives.
