Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Princeton, New Jersey, and operates primarily in a home care setting. Working onsite at patients' homes allows for a personalized therapeutic environment adapted to each individual's needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients referred by physicians, establishing a baseline and understanding individual needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based treatment programs tailored for various conditions, notably in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to streamline care and improve patient outcomes.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions in patients' homes, ensuring adherence to the physician's plan of care while adjusting methods as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Educate and empower patients and their caregivers with knowledge and techniques for ongoing management of their conditions and recovery processes.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical assessments to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Meet and exceed utilization metrics and other performance objectives that support the overall success of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, encompassing a wide array of age groups and backgrounds. This role also offers the opportunity to work with pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations, allowing you to leverage a diverse skill set and adapt your approach to meet varying patient needs. Establishing rapport and trust with patients will be vital, as strong relationships significantly influence therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective education and interaction with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• A proven ability to build strong relationships with patients and foster trust, motivating them towards their rehabilitation goals.
• Demonstrated passion for connecting with people and enhancing their quality of life through physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using evidence-based practices in orthopedic therapy.
• Familiarity with assessment tools such as Visual Analog Scale (VAS) or Oswestry Disability Index.
• Background in working in a home care setting or community health services.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
