Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations using techniques such as functional assessments, range of motion tests, and strength evaluations to develop customized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment goals to patients and their families, ensuring active participation in the rehabilitation process.
• Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on patient progress and evolving healthcare standards, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to address changes in patients' conditions, modifying care plans as necessary.
• Manage discharge planning, ensuring it includes appropriate follow-up care and documentation that reflects patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain an efficient schedule and meet productivity targets while actively participating in hospital and community outreach initiatives.
• Contribute to the department's goals by complying with regulations and participating in the quality improvement projects.
• Engage in continuing education opportunities and mentoring to enhance both personal and organizational competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will involve working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions that affect musculoskeletal function. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• A valid CPR certification evidencing competency in basic life support.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in an orthopedic setting.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation facility.
