Work Environment

You will be based at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Princeton, New Jersey. The position involves a typical weekly schedule of 40 hours, with flexible weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify functional limitations, physical impairments, and disabilities.
• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that encourage patient engagement and support rehabilitation goals.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on real-time feedback and patient progress, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, treatment sessions, and discharge plans as per applicable laws and regulations.
• Communicate collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care continuity.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and support staff, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote awareness of rehabilitation services and optimal health practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. You will employ a patient-centered approach, adapting treatments to each patient's age, cultural background, and unique circumstances. Your contributions are vital in empowering patients to regain functionality and independence, ultimately enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including patient management software.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is desirable.
