Work Environment

The role will take place at our well-equipped outpatient office located in Trenton, NJ, where you will be immersed in a bustling clinic atmosphere. You will work alongside a team of experienced clinicians and healthcare professionals who are all dedicated to delivering evidence-based therapy in a collaborative and energetic environment. This full-time position typically involves a Monday to Friday schedule with 40 hours per week dedicated to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred from physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific orthopedic conditions, ensuring evidence-based practices are employed.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and modalities to facilitate optimal healing outcomes.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention strategies, and self-management skills to promote independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, sharing insights and contributing to team meetings focused on improving care processes.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by building rapport with patients, addressing their concerns, and fostering a welcoming clinic environment.
• Meet or exceed established utilization metrics and departmental objectives, contributing to the clinic's overall performance and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily treat patients with orthopedic needs, but also have the opportunity to work with clients in pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine categories. Our diverse clientele includes individuals recovering from surgery, athletes coping with sports injuries, and patients managing chronic pain. Your efforts in care delivery will play a crucial role in their journeys toward improved function and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current, valid Physical Therapy License in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist, ideally with a focus on orthopedic patients.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other digital tools to document patient care and manage scheduling.
• Ability and desire to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their support systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings, specifically with diverse orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation technologies and methods, including therapeutic modalities and exercise rehabilitation.
• Prior experience in mentoring or collaborating with less experienced staff or PT students is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
