Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients, utilizing established psychological and social frameworks to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Collaborate effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, monitoring client outcomes and adjusting interventions as necessary to enhance overall care.

• Provide emotional support and counseling to families, fostering a nurturing environment that empowers them to support their child’s development during challenging times.

• Utilize coaching models and natural environment teaching methods to engage children and their families, ensuring that strategies are tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Build rapport with children and families, employing active listening and respectful communication to enhance the therapeutic relationship.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards for the well-being of both staff and individuals served, taking necessary precautions in line with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily engage with children and their families within a hospice setting. The clients you work with often face complex emotional and social challenges, requiring empathy, patience, and a nuanced understanding of bereavement and end-of-life issues. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a supportive transition for clients, empowering families as they navigate sensitive situations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working directly with children in early intervention contexts.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
