Work Environment

This role is situated in a hospital setting, ensuring you work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to facilitate optimal patient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, comprising 8-hour shifts, which allows for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced patient care under the supervision of orthopedic specialists, including conducting thorough assessments and developing detailed treatment plans.
• Diagnose patient conditions by reviewing and interpreting radiology reports and laboratory findings, ensuring accurate and timely decisions are made.
• Manage comprehensive patient histories and develop strategic plans to prescribe medications and coordinate rehabilitation therapies, while also assisting with surgical procedures as required.
• Manage the continuum of care, supervising patient experiences from inpatient services through outpatient follow-ups, maintaining the highest standards of care throughout.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be orthopedic patients with various conditions, from acute injuries to chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will engage with diverse patient demographics, tailoring treatment protocols to meet individual needs and enhancing overall patient satisfaction through attentive care and follow-up.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably with recent clinical experience in orthopedic procedures and wound care.
• Master’s degree or PhD from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with a state license and national certification.
• Possession of a DEA certificate within three months of hire to facilitate prescribing medications.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, organizational skills, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to comply with hospital credentialing and billing standards, contributing to smooth operations within the clinical setting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime, and to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Successful background checks, drug screenings, and medical evaluations as part of the onboarding process.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in managing urgent community referrals for orthopedic care, demonstrating quick decision-making and adept problem-solving skills.
• Specific familiarity with patient-centered care methodologies, ensuring tailored solutions to diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
