Preschool Administrative Assistant
The Goddard School of Lake Forest is excited to welcome a Preschool Administrative Assistant to our team! In this vital role, you will support the Director and Owner with day-to-day operations, front desk management, and school-wide coordination to help create a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for children, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director and Owner with operational and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily functioning of the school.
- Serve as the friendly and professional face of the school at the front desk, supporting families, visitors, and staff.
- Help with school opening and/or closing procedures as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized records in compliance with California state licensing regulations.
- Communicate effectively with families and staff to promote strong relationships and positive school experiences.
- Coordinate teacher and classroom needs including supplies, scheduling, and communication.
- Assist with family tours, enrollment, orientation, and admissions to ensure seamless transitions.
- Monitor and support compliance with all local, state, and federal early education standards.
- Help nurture a positive, inclusive school culture that values diversity and teamwork.
- Step in where needed to support classrooms or operational needs flexibility and collaboration are key!
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet California State Licensing requirements:
- 12 ECE units, including Infant/Toddler Development
- 3 Administrative Units
- AA or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a preschool, early education, or administrative role
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Friendly, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
