Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, using diagnostic tests to develop targeted treatment plans.
• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments designed to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function, aligning with established care protocols.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they adhere to care plans while providing supportive guidance and mentorship.
• Document patient progress meticulously through electronic medical records (EMR), particularly with systems like Web PT, ensuring compliance and traceability.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, participating in case conferences to contribute insights and suggestions for comprehensive patient care.
• Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and lifestyle modifications to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor and adapt treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations of patient performance and feedback.
• Provide recommendations for home modifications to enhance the safety and independence of clients receiving care in their residential environments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will treat a diverse patient population, ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to individuals recovering from neurological conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida without any disciplinary history.
• A deep understanding of manual therapy techniques and the ability to implement evidence-based modalities in practice.
• Proficient use of EMR software, especially Web PT, to ensure accurate patient records and billing practices.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, showcasing a capacity not just for therapy but for educating patients and families about the healing process.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred, particularly in dealing with complex cases requiring multi-disciplinary approaches.
• Familiarity with progressive exercise regimens supported by current research and clinical practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is competitive, with an annual salary between USD 100,000 and 120,000.
