Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document detailed clinical notes from the initial consultation through the entirety of the treatment process.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, families, and groups, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate weekly individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages open dialogue.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
\n
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, and other health professionals to create a comprehensive approach to client care.

• Follow up with clients post-treatment, maintaining connections to prevent relapse and support continued growth.

• Provide resources and support to family members and primary caregivers, assisting them in managing associated behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population is diverse, ranging from adults grappling with anxiety and depression to families seeking guidance through relational issues. You will work with clients experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, including PTSD, addiction disorders, and emotional trauma. As a counselor, your role becomes pivotal in guiding these individuals toward recovery and healthier coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records and treatment plans.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective dialogue with clients and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a strong clinical background.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices regarding mental health interventions and familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines.

• Experience in addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions alongside addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the pharmacological impacts of medications prescribed in mental health treatment.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor that fosters trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
