Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and create individualized therapy strategies.

• Engage in ongoing documentation, ensuring timely completion that meets or exceeds regulatory standards set forth by state and federal guidelines.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as determined by the clinical team to identify key areas for intervention and support.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans aimed at enhancing client outcomes.
\n
• Actively take part in agency licensing and accreditation processes, facilitating compliance with established best practices.
\n
• Serve as a liaison, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with state agencies, community partners, and relevant service systems.
\n
• Foster open communications with clients, families, and community stakeholders to uphold the agency’s mission and ensure effective service delivery.
\n
• Engage in professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and community meetings relevant to mental health.
\n
• Promote and embody the values, philosophy, and mission of Coastal Light Counseling Center in every aspect of work.
\n
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support team objectives and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on diverse client populations, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health issues. The counselor will work with both children and adults, providing culturally competent and individualized care. As such, understanding the unique backgrounds and needs of clients is essential to fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LCMHC license in the state of Florida is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is essential.

• 3-5 years of professional experience in mental health counseling is preferred, particularly within outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
