Business Development Manager

Location Information: The position is onsite at ATEL Technologies, Inc.'s corporate office: 9580 Black Mountain Rd, San Diego CA 92126. What will you do? You will have the opportunity to sell / market the following products: High speed internet services Business phone systems ‐ Premise based, or Cloud-based Hosted phones IT Cloud Services & MSP Voice and data cabling Fiber optic cabling Video surveillance Access control Maintenance contracts Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in-person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments. Leverage the CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios. Book and install new lines/circuits/bundles/services to meet established monthly quotas. Design customized, cost-effective solutions for the client with sales engineering support. Submit pricing and pre-qualification requests reflecting the client's requirements. Maintain open and effective lines of communication throughout the organization to maintain a sense of teamwork, enthusiasm, pride, and quality workmanship. How will you get here? Education: Business or technical degree preferred. Experience: Knowledge and passion for telecommunications, sales, customer service, marketing, IT, or other related fields. Business or technical degree preferred. Knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles and methods for promoting, demonstrating, and selling products and services- including but not limited to prospecting, negotiating, and closing techniques, marketing strategies, product presentations, and sales control systems. Familiarity with CRM platforms. Ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to self-motivate and self-manage. Strong judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills. Deadline and detail oriented. Strong problem-solving skills- identify, evaluate, and implement solutions to complex problems. Compensation and Benefits: The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $55,000 - $75,000. This position is also eligible to receive commissions and bonuses ($100k+ Target Total Annual Compensation).
