Unleash Potential and Foster Connections in the Vibrant Community of McKinney, Texas – Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where each day's work breathes life into communication — as a Speech Language Pathologist in bustling McKinney, Texas, you won't just treat speech and swallowing disorders; you'll transform lives! Here, every interaction you have will be a stepping stone to growth, restoring confidence for toddlers finding their voice to seniors regaining their independence, all while fostering deep human connections.
Your journey in this role will allow you to embrace a diverse patient population, delivering care that spans from the youngest children to the wisest of elders. With a flexible, dynamic environment that combines outpatient care with the occasional inpatient need, you can follow your passion — whether that is nurturing language in children, aiding adults with neurological issues, or guiding elderly patients on their path to communicative recovery.
Assess patients across all demographics using various evaluation methods to develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
Create tailored treatment strategies that align with both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver personalized speech therapy that centers on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing efficiency.
Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to implement an integrated approach to patient care.
Educate patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond clinical sessions.
Utilize your skills in inpatient settings to conduct evaluations and provide therapy when necessary, maintaining a seamless continuum of care.
Document patient progress and therapies in accordance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring clarity and continuity in our care processes.
Commit to ongoing professional development, staying abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and networking with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Must possess State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days post-hire.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods across age groups with a robust grasp of both developmental and traumatic speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective dialogues with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
Flexibility to customize therapy techniques in response to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical instincts and problem-solving skills.
Ability to navigate electronic medical records efficiently and uphold documentation standards.
Attractive compensation package reflective of your experience.
Work-life balance supported through flexible scheduling.
Specialization opportunities available in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday remuneration.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative work environment committed to excellence and shared learning.
In this position, you will not merely conduct speech therapy — you'll become an integral part of a mission-driven team that values communication, connection, and the extraordinary power of understanding one another.
Join a group of clinicians who view each other as family, nestled in an environment that celebrates cooperation over rivalry. Each patient carries a unique narrative; we trust you to help guide how it unfolds.
