Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage directly with students encountering symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders through teletherapy and virtual meetings.

• Develop trusting and therapeutic relationships with clients to encourage open communication and facilitate effective treatment.

• Collaborate with educators, parents, and community organizations to devise and implement integrated care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to identify urgent needs, detailing plans for appropriate follow-up and referrals as necessary.

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy, ensuring that treatment aligns with each client’s stated needs and challenges.

• Monitor client progress and adjust care strategies based on feedback and outcome measures, ensuring that clients access services promptly.

• Assist with crisis intervention efforts, offering support and solutions during high-stress situations.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with organizational and professional standards.

• Participate in agency committees focused on improving service delivery and quality assurance initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with diverse student populations characterized by a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral issues. You will utilize culturally competent practices to support students from various backgrounds, ensuring that your approach is respectful and tailored to each individual's belief systems and personal circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential in New York State.

• Strong understanding of developmental psychology and effective therapeutic techniques for adolescents.

• Proficient in telehealth tools and electronic health record systems, as well as strong computer skills for documentation and client communication.
