We utilize electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to ensure seamless case management and adherence to best practices in mental health counseling.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting patient histories from the initial consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans aimed at addressing the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, ensuring a safe space for clients to express themselves.

• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including other counselors and medical professionals, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up on clients who may require hospital admission, liaising with psychiatrists and attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges effectively.

• Stay current with developments in the field of psychotherapy and integrate the latest practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients grappling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will serve a diverse demographic, varying in age, background, and cultural contexts, which underscores the importance of culturally competent care tailored to each individual’s context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

• A valid pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and empathetically.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a sympathetic and supportive nature in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or therapist, particularly in a telehealth environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
